Background

We were commissioned by Microsoft in Redmond to help build a Windows Phone application for the conference. The application was to provide a simple, easy to use interface for session viewing, planning and accessing speaker details and conference maps.

Strategy

We made use of Windows Phone controls such as the jump list and to allow user’s to navigate the conference schedule using a familiar Windows Phone experience. The design approach was to bring the content to fore, and provide an information layout which was without clutter and focused on the most common tasks the user would be likely to perform.

Successes

This was the first Windows Phone application to allow for mobile submission of evaluation forms for Microsoft sessions. The application proved very popular at the conference and received a perfect 5 star review average.
